Pigs in a Blanket with a Twist
Make food both fun and easy with simple game day party ideas like preparing pigs in a blanket seasoned with everything bagel seasoning. They’re quick to whip up and perfect for little hands to grab during the game! The kids love them, and so do the adults! Serve them with mustard for an extra kick of flavor.
Game Day Pigs in a Blanket with a Twist
Ingredients
8 oz Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough
12 oz Mini Cocktail Wieners
1 Egg (for egg wash)
Everything Bagel Seasoning (as desired)
Mustard (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Open the Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough and divide it into equal parts that are large enough to wrap each wiener snugly.
Pat dry the mini cocktail wieners with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Wrap the smokies
Place a mini cocktail wiener at the edge of each piece of dough.
Roll the dough tightly around the wiener, ensuring it is snug.
Place the wrapped wieners on a lined baking sheet, with the seam side down.
In a small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of each wrapped wiener with the egg wash for a golden finish.
Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top of the dough as desired.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 16 minutes, or until the pigs in a blanket are golden brown and the bottoms are fully cooked.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with mustard, if desired.
M&M Popcorn Footballs
It’s no wonder these were the highlight of the evening since my kids both love popcorn! I drizzled some vanilla icing, which I had used for brownie decorations, and topped it with peanut M&M's in team colors. For an added fun touch, get creative with brown paper bag footballs! Use white washi tape to create laces on the bags, then fill them with popcorn and red and yellow M&M's for a delicious sweet and salty treat. The playful presentation is sure to delight the kids!
Classic Chex Mix
Who can resist homemade Chex Mix, especially on a chilly day? It’s simple to prepare and fills your home with an enticing aroma. No party is complete without snacks! Make a batch of classic Chex Mix and add exciting elements like pretzel snaps. The delightful scent will create a vibrant football tailgate atmosphere in your home!
Football-Shaped Brownies and Refreshing Red Gatorade
In the spirit of adorable football-themed treats that are both budget-friendly and easy to make, we chose homemade brownies with a drizzle of decorative vanilla icing. These delicious brownies pair perfectly with Gatorade, offering a refreshing drink option for the kids while keeping them hydrated as they cheer for their favorite team. This combination creates an ideal setup for an exciting game day celebration! The boys are big fans of Gatorade, and the red color is just perfect to show support for our favorite team!
Football Obstacle Course
Get the kids moving with an exciting football-themed obstacle course! My kids had plenty of energy and were eager to run around, so we decided to set up an obstacle course to help them burn off that excitement. This will keep them engaged while the adults enjoy the game. Create a tunnel with pillows, set up cones to weave through, and include fun challenges. This will keep them active and entertained during the game!

Mason Jar Football Drinks
While the kids are entertained, set up a nacho bar for the adults! Include everything from queso and taco meat to jalapeños, salsa, homemade pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. Everyone will enjoy customizing their nachos just the way they like. Finally, make drinking classic Coke even more fun with mason jar football glasses. Use washi tape to create football laces on the jar’s sides for that extra flair. These will be a hit with both kids and adults alike! I’m really loving these new mugs! They are excellent quality, and I adore the bamboo lids and metal straws.
Fun Coloring Sheets
Introduce some creativity with football-themed coloring sheets for the little ones! It’s a great way to keep them occupied while the adults focus on the game—and they can showcase their artwork after! Did you know you can find free coloring pages on Crayola's website? I thought it would be a fun idea to print a few and have them at the table while the kids enjoy their snacks.
Half-Time Dance Party
During halftime, let the kids blow off some steam with a lively dance party! Set up a fun area where they can dance and celebrate. Create a playlist filled with upbeat songs to keep the energy high. Here are some suggested songs to get everyone moving:
